SSE Master in Finance program ranked #1 in Nordics in FT 2025 ranking

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics’ Master in Finance program keeps its spot as the number one provider of finance master education in the Nordic and Baltic region, according to the Financial Times’ 2025 ranking. The program is also ranked among the top 30 in the world.

The Financial Times’ Master in Finance ranking evaluates programs offered by business schools worldwide using data provided by the institutions and survey responses collected from alumni three years after graduation. Out of 70 Master in Finance programs ranked globally, SSE comes in place 26, with scores that are ranked above the average for the cohort. In the Nordic and Baltic region, SSE keeps its leading position.

This year’s assessment shows that SSE alumni who graduated in 2022 reported a 46 percent salary increase since starting their careers, earning an average annual salary of $106,666. Additionally, 92 percent of SSE alumni reported that they had achieved their goals after receiving their degree.

For the first time, the assessment includes an ESG and net-zero teaching component, ranking SSE at an impressive 13th position globally. This part is based on alumni evaluations and teaching hours from core courses dedicated to ESG issues and climate solutions for reaching net-zero emissions.

“We’re incredibly proud to maintain our position as the top finance master’s program in the Nordics and Baltics,” says Anders Anderson, program director for the Master in Finance program. “Our strong placement in the new ESG and net-zero teaching category shows that we’re not only preparing students for high-performing careers, but also equipping them to lead in a rapidly evolving, sustainability-focused financial landscape.”
