Intense Days of Management Program Hållbar Klubbutveckling

Over the course of two intense days, Svensk Elitfotboll and representatives from the clubs came together for the second part of the tailored management program Hållbar Klubbutveckling, to explore and deepen their understanding of what modern leadership means in today鈥檚 elite football. The focus was on relationships, self-awareness, and the human aspect of organizational life.
Elite football is a world of strong emotions, fast decisions, and long-term strategy. It requires both structure and human presence. Leadership is not something you 鈥渉ave鈥 鈥 it鈥檚 something you need to practice and exercise every day.

Hållbar Klubbutveckling, developed in collaboration with the Center for Sports and Business at the 海角社区下载 School of Economics, has the aim of strengthening the next generation of leaders in Swedish elite football. During these two days, we discussed the importance of understanding one’s stakeholders – both internal and external – and how leadership, at its core, is about building and nurturing relationships. Using IDI, a behavioral tool that enhances self-awareness, participants were given the opportunity to reflect on their own leadership styles and how these impact others. We also explored how to lead with energy, the role of informal conversations in leadership, how to manage a packed agenda, and how to maintain motivation – even in the face of tough losses.

Elite football is a world of strong emotions, fast decisions, and long-term strategy. It requires both structure and human presence. Leadership is not something you “have” – it’s something you need to practice and exercise every day.

A heartfelt thank you to Gunnar Ekman, who guided us with wisdom and warmth throughout the sessions, and to Martin Carlsson Wall and Anders Sewerin for their valuable insights and perspectives.
