What makes life financially secure, sustainable, and meaningful? At the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness (CWWH) at the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics, together with Swedbank and Sparbankerna, we want to find out. That is why we are launching two national thesis awards in 2025 to encourage students across Sweden to explore these vital questions and share their insights with society.

Elisabet Liljeblad has been awarded the SSE MBA NSHK Scholarship 2025. The scholarship is awarded next-generation leaders strengthening Norwegian and Swedish industries.

This week, the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ(SSE) opens its doors to a new cohort of students embarking on their academic journeys. Beyond enrollment, the week mixes academic sessions and fun social activities with moments focused on student wellbeing and services.

MIRAI is a collaborative academic network connecting Japanese and Swedish universities. Established in 2017, it has built upon seven years of experience to launch its third phase in January 2024. This phase is designed to engage researchers across diverse disciplines, focusing on social innovation and global challenges as overarching themes.

Do principals improve school results by promoting teacher collaboration?

The Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness (CWWH) are happy to organise a research seminar at noon on the 27th of August. In the seminar Fredrik Lange, Assistant Professor at CWWH will present the first findings from the Ice Hockey Project, a CWWH initiative together with the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The project explores supporter happiness, social connections with other supporters, and overall life satisfaction.  

Department of Economics is proud to present its latest PhD graduate: Johan Orrenius. He has successfully defended his thesis on June 10th, and we congratulate him on this momentous achievement. Congratulations, Johan!
