STUDENT COUNCIL JOB DESCRIPTIONS
PRESIDENTS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)
VICE-PRESIDENTS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)
TREASURERS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)
EVENTS OFFICERS (6 students - 3 girls, 3 boys)
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)

- To provide leadership of the Council
- To set the agenda for meetings
- To chair and facilitate meetings
- To support other members of the Council, including form representatives
- To liaise with relevant members of staff
VICE-PRESIDENTS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)
- To support the Presidents (including running meetings in their absence)
- To write up reports/minutes of Council meetings
- To support other members of the Council, including form representatives
- To liaise with relevant members of staff
TREASURERS (2 students - 1 girl, 1 boy)
- To be responsible for all financial matters of the Council
- To provide a detailed and accurate financial record of the Council’s events and activities

- To develop and facilitate an appropriate programme of events and activities
- To support and work with form representatives
- To work with the Marketing & Communications Officers to publicise all Council events

- To publicise the Council’s events and activities
- To publicise extra-curricular activities and clubs

STUDENT MENTORS
Purpose: To help younger students in need of educational, social, developmental and emotional support.
Issues Mentors might help students experiencing:
Responsibilities:
Mentor skills/ abilities/ knowledge:
Mentor training:
You will be given advice and training about the role of Mentor. You must be willing to attend these sessions to develop your skills and take on this important and rewarding responsibility.
Mentors will be appointed by Heads of Sixth Form, not voted in.
Purpose: To help younger students in need of educational, social, developmental and emotional support.
Issues Mentors might help students experiencing:
- Friendship problems
- Emotional problems
- Problems with school work
- Homework concerns
Responsibilities:
- To serve as a role model
- To act as a resource and guide
- To listen to students who come to share their concerns with you
- To try to help students resolve any issues they may have and seek advice if need be.
- To liaise with relevant members of staff .
